Remembering a lot of family members on Rainbow bridge Remembrance Day Aug 28 gone to the great beyond but still somehow commanding a command performance around the Katz house and Tiki garden or when out in the ’63 Chrysler Imperial, .pictured here all back together: Roscoe, Joan, Pucky, Don, Weepy, Victor, Mikey, Juicy and Dorian and Ornji inside driving. Got to get a bigger car to add more recent additions Zippy, Orange Julius and Zack/Jackie the Corona King. Miss them all and lucky to still have 16 year old Pinky and newcomers Archie, 13 and Oreo, 1 to add to the the ‘living memories’ and sharing those still lasting good vibes from their older ‘cousins’
Middle pictures if sendable include Zack and Orange Julius plus Pinky still with us and bottom pictuef is of Zippy, life long outdoor cat, only with us a short time but who made it to 16 despite a giant ‘cyst’ and other maladies. still dtrong guy He was the only cat to bescape the catio pther tha first cat, Juicy, by Jumping very high onto the roof of the catio but he came right back, thankfully as did Juicy. (Never had a cat Runaway or lost but had one close call on the freeway with Juicy , first cat, but that’s another story for another tine ).
Ornji, doing the driving, top, lived in the basement but only with us a short time before cancer finally took him after chemo had given us a few more months.
After bad luck with first four katz-Juicy, Dorian, Victor and Mikee -who all came from diseased catteries and lived less than a year, albeit happy ones despite their shortness-we learned our lesson -and next ones all had good, long lives, all living 17-20 quality years except Ornji who found us during the middle years, coming right up to the house, but already with contageous health issues. for that reason he had to quaranteen in the basement, but at least he was indoors his last months
